Amor Montes de Oca is the Strategic Initiatives Program Manager at mHUB, where she designs and executes strategic initiatives with a focus on manufacturing readiness for hardtech startups, product innovation, and commercialization pathways. In this role, she helps entrepreneurs and small businesses build capacity, access resources, and scale their ventures through hands-on support and cross-sector collaboration.
Previously, Amor served as the Executive Director of Illinois Women in Cannabis, a nonprofit advancing women-led businesses and professional development in Illinois’ emerging cannabis industry. As a co-founder and former Director of Strategic Initiatives at 2112, Chicago’s first incubator for creative industries, she developed impactful programming, secured funding, and built a thriving ecosystem for early-stage entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Amor holds a B.A. from DePaul University and brings extensive experience in startup growth, ecosystem development, and strategic partnerships. She is deeply committed to inclusive economic development and empowering communities through entrepreneurship.
Outside of work, Amor is a dedicated Zen practitioner and trains in Japanese swordsmanship. She enjoys reading, painting, and ceramics in her free time.
