Lanise Beavers, Community Impact Program Manager, leads programming for mPOWER and the Landis Foundation Fellowship.
Prior to mHUB, Lanise has served in roles as an admission counselor and college counselor at Smith College and the Schuler Scholar Program respectively where she guided historically marginalized students, many of whom were first-generation college students. Lanise has become an expert in the complexities of building cohort based programming as well as supporting marginalized communities gain access to highly selective institutions. Lanise grew up witnessing various women in her family build their own businesses, thus spawning a true passion and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. She’s excited to lead and support programming that support underrepresented founders.
Lanise is a graduate of Kenyon College, with a bachelor’s in Sociology and American Studies, with a focus on the intersectionality of race and gender.
