Illinois is home to a growing group of electric vehicle manufacturers, and aims to grow the market of electric vehicles in the coming years. To spur the growth of this industry, Illinois enacted the ‘Reimagining Electric Vehicles Act’ in November of 2021.  Illinois seeks to become the "Silicon Valley of the Electrical Vehicle Industry"

The Supply Chain Innovation Center at GSU and the Center for Urban Transportation at UIC will discuss with Mhub members its initial results from a program to identify the manufacturers and suppliers of electric vehicles in Illinois, to understand the recharging infrastructure, and to look for ways to find opportunities for Illinois companies to participate in the Electric Vehicle Supply Chain.

In addition, we are inviting Mhub members to Save the Date for our next program. on Earth Day April 22nd at GSU.
