mHUB MIG Welding Class Provided by Dollyfox MetalWork

Learn The Basics of MIG Welding

Join us for a two-hour class that covers basic  MIG welding taught by the professional metalworker Cara Molitor of Dollyfox Fabrication in mHUB's metal fabrication lab.

The MIG Welding Class will introduce students to the most versatile form of welding:

  • basic principles
  • set up
  • MIG welding techniques

Safe and Smart

Completion of this class will allow participants to use the MIG welding in the Metal Fabrication Lab. Metalworking techniques require advanced training and awareness of injury risks. mHUB provides this class as an opportunity to be trained by professional welding instructors.


 Hands-On Training

Class size is limited to 3 attendees. The cost of the class is $130 and is offered to mHUB members who have completed Basic Shop Safety Training and Hot Metals Lab Training. The class is held in the mHUB Metal Fabrication Lab. All materials and welding safety equipment are provided. Bring your safety glasses and note the special clothing requirements.

Required Attire

  • Work clothes, you will get dirty. (No synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon)
  • Leather shoes with closed-toe. (boots are preferable)
  • Long sleeve work shirt
  • Long pants made of heavy materials such as jeans or duck cloth
  • Safety glasses are mandatory. If you wear corrective reading glasses, please bring them to class.

If you do not come to class with the required clothing, you will not be allowed to take the class and no refund will be given.

The awards ceremony will close out the March 6, 2025 HardTech Summit. The nomination window will open in Q4 of 2025.
