Fundraising Documents and SAFE Agreements for Hardware Startups

Fundraising documentation can make or break your startup's future, yet most hardware entrepreneurs approach these critical agreements without understanding their long-term implications. This essential workshop demystifies the key documents that govern your relationship with investors and provides practical strategies for protecting founder interests while securing the capital you need to scale.

Led by Alex Lambert, Venture Capital Manager at mHUB Ventures, this session provides insider perspective on fundraising documentation from both sides of the investment table. Alex's role in advancing mHUB's investment strategy in hardtech startups gives him unique insights into what investors look for and how founders can position themselves for successful funding rounds.

Hardware startups face unique challenges in fundraising—from longer development timelines to capital-intensive scaling requirements. This workshop addresses the specific documentation considerations that hardtech entrepreneurs must navigate, helping you avoid common pitfalls that can compromise your company's future flexibility and growth potential.

Drawing from his experience supporting investments, fundraising, portfolio management, and investor engagement at mHUB Ventures, Alex will share practical frameworks for evaluating and negotiating funding terms. You'll learn not just what these documents say, but what they mean for your business in practical terms.

This workshop combines legal fundamentals with practical business strategy, helping you make informed decisions about funding structure that align with your long-term vision. Alex's background in both private banking and venture capital provides comprehensive perspective on the financial and strategic aspects of startup funding.

Who Should Attend:

  • Hardware startup founders preparing for their first funding round
  • Entrepreneurs seeking to understand investor documentation and terms
  • Startups that have received term sheets and need guidance on negotiation
  • Founders wanting to avoid common funding documentation mistakes
  • Anyone involved in hardtech ventures requiring significant capital investment
  • Business advisors working with startups on fundraising strategy

This workshop provides the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate fundraising documentation successfully while protecting your startup's future potential.
