Each session builds logically on the last, taking participants from understanding individual costs to creating a complete Profit & Loss Statement. By the end of this program, attendees will have the knowledge and tools needed to make smarter, data-driven decisions for their business.

Session 1: Cost of Labor

This initial session tackles one of the largest and most critical expenses for any business: its workforce. We demystify what "cost of labor" truly means and give owners the tools to manage it effectively.

What It Covers:

• Defining Labor Cost: Understanding that labor cost is more than just wages—it includes salaries, benefits, payroll taxes, overtime, and other related expenses.
• Importance of Tracking: Learning why managing labor cost (ideally around 30% of revenue) is crucial for profitability and operational efficiency.
• Key Components & Calculations: Breaking down the different elements of labor cost and learning the formula to calculate your labor cost percentage against net sales.

How It Builds: Participants will learn to calculate a major component of their total expenses. This session provides the first key number needed to understand overall profitability.
