Chicago Climate Connect
Speaker: Marilee Feldman discusses the mental health impact of climate change, including anxiety, grief, and resilience pathways for a sustainable future.
About This Event:
Join Climate Connect at mHUB to connect with individuals who are passionate about creating a sustainable future. For February, we are featuring a presentation from Marilee Feldman on mental health and climate.
The increasing climate crisis is substantially impacting mental health, causing climate anxiety, depressive symptoms, and ecological grief. While maintaining our emotional wellness is difficult in the face of an escalating crisis, doing so is imperative for both our own well-being as well as for our ability to take effective action. In this workshop, climate-aware therapist Marilee Feldman will outline how our cultural response to the crisis is impacting us, discuss the symptoms of climate anxiety and ecological distress, and outline a pathway to climate resilience.
When: Thursday, February 20th, 6-8pm
Where: mHUB | 1623 W Fulton St, Chicago, IL 60612 (Free Parking on Location)

About Climate Connect's Event Series:
When it comes to the climate, thinking, acting, and connecting locally matters. This monthly, in-person event mixes networking and structured programming to bring together climate-minded folks to discuss, inspire, and support. Whether you work (or are looking to work) in climate and sustainability professionally, or are looking to get involved with local initiatives and solutions - we’d love to meet you!
About the Climate Connect Hosts:
We are climate-minded Chicagoans who are members of different global online climate communities like Work On Climate, Terra.do, MCJ Collective, and ClimateAction.tech. We saw a need to build a local bridge between these communities and bring other local Chicago groups into the discussion.
