Building technology for defense applications requires more than technical innovation—it requires alignment with complex systems, mission requirements, and funding pathways. This workshop introduces founders and innovators to the key components needed to successfully develop and deploy solutions within the Department of Defense ecosystem.
Participants will explore how to build within the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem, a widely used platform developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) that supports real-time situational awareness and mission execution. The session will cover how technical integration with TAK enables companies to align their solutions with existing defense infrastructure and accelerate adoption.
In addition to technical considerations, the workshop focuses on non-dilutive funding strategies, helping founders understand how to access government funding sources that support development without sacrificing equity. Participants will gain insight into how incentives, funding pathways, and defense priorities intersect—and how to position their technology accordingly.
