B2B Sales - Cold Calling that Closes

A strong sales process is critical to startup growth—regardless of company size. Cold calling, when done well, can have an immediate and measurable impact on revenue, yet many founders and early sales leaders struggle with where to begin and how to do it effectively. This workshop goes beyond the basics to help participants develop a more confident, strategic approach to B2B sales.

Led by Maureen Wozniak of the Better Business Bureau, this session focuses on finding the right decision-makers, improving outreach conversations, and understanding pricing considerations that support closing more business. Participants will gain practical guidance rooted in real-world experience, helping them refine both mindset and technique.

This workshop is ideal for founders and sales leaders who want to sharpen their sales execution and build a more repeatable, effective outbound process.

About the Instructor

Maureen Wozniak is the Director for Enterprise Accounts for the Northern Illinois Better Business Bureau. She is an established leader, a proven sales executive, a former business owner, and an inventor. In 2010 Maureen had her own start-up and knows the sweat equity that goes into launching a business.

Her 19 years working with ADP, one of the world’s largest providers of workforce solutions and a Fortune 200 company includes numerous sales awards and notable sales management achievements. Her hope is she might be able to help a start-up with some guidance in understanding how to approach and secure sales to help establish their business.
