3D printing has revolutionized prototyping and manufacturing, but with numerous technologies, materials, and applications available, knowing where to start and how to optimize your approach can be overwhelming. This comprehensive introductory workshop bridges the gap between "I don't know what 3D printing does" and "I have a desktop unit but only use it for fun," providing the practical knowledge needed to leverage 3D printing effectively in your product development process.
Designed for makers, entrepreneurs, and technical professionals who want to understand and utilize 3D printing strategically, this workshop covers the essential knowledge needed to make informed decisions about when, how, and why to use 3D printing in your projects. Whether you're prototyping a new product, considering manufacturing options, or looking to optimize your current 3D printing approach, this session provides the foundation you need.
Led by Charles Traut, mHUB's Prototyping Shop Technician who helps run the Prototyping Lab and guides members in equipment use and development processes, this workshop combines technical expertise with practical application. Charles brings hands-on experience with diverse 3D printing technologies and real-world knowledge of how entrepreneurs and startups can best leverage these tools.
Who Should Attend:
- Entrepreneurs and makers new to 3D printing
- Product developers seeking to optimize their prototyping process
- Engineers and designers wanting to understand 3D printing capabilities
- Small business owners considering 3D printing for their operations
- Anyone with basic 3D printing experience who wants to level up their knowledge
This workshop provides the foundation needed to use 3D printing effectively as a powerful tool in your product development arsenal.
