Jennifer F. Scanlon is president and chief executive officer of UL. Jenny works to advance UL’s scientific and regulatory leadership with the ambition of serving as its customers’ most trusted safety, security and sustainability partner.

Scanlon’s deep commitment to science, technology, engineering and math shape her approach to innovation. She is a fierce advocate for STEM education and the benefits of diversity and inclusion. A director of Norfolk Southern Corporation, she serves as board of trustees of Notre Dame, chair of the Commercial Club of Chicago and vice chair of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
