2025 MedTech Demo Day

Written by mHUB | May 12, 2025

mHUB's 2025 MedTech Demo Day was an inspiring showcase of healthcare innovation and progress. On May 8, the 2025 cohort emerged from mHUB's rigorous six-month MedTech Accelerator program to present their breakthrough medical technologies to a captivated audience of healthcare leaders, investors, and medtech innovators.

These startups are at the forefront of transforming the way we approach critical challenges in healthcare. From intelligent rehabilitation devices to advanced diagnostic monitoring and non-invasive surgical innovations, each company is developing solutions poised to make a lasting impact on patient care.

Since their induction into the program in October 2024, these startups have been immersed in intensive programming that provided mentorship, clinical engagement, and product development support. Led by Monica Vajani, Executive Director of the MedTech Accelerator, the program began with a sharp focus on customer discovery—guiding founders through direct engagement with healthcare providers to validate needs and refine product-market fit.

The program kicked-off with opening remarks from mHUB's Chief Experience Officer, Melissa Lederer, who underscored the critical role of the MedTech Accelerator in advancing healthcare innovation and fostering collaboration between startups, clinicians, and industry stakeholders.

The program was made possible through the generous support of its founding partners: GE HealthCare, Endeavor Health, and Baxter—each of whom took the stage to highlight the importance of providing deep industry expertise and access to clinical, operational, and technical resources that accelerated each venture’s progress.

Throughout the evening, each startup took the stage to present their breakthrough innovations and share their journeys toward transforming healthcare. Keep reading for a snapshot of the progress made during the program—and a look at what’s next as these companies move forward toward commercialization.

Articulate Labs (Dallas, Texas) – Articulate Labs builds intelligent wearables that turn real life into physical therapy using movement-synchronous electrical muscle stimulation. Their first device, KneeStim, will address pain and mobility issues for over 15 million in the U.S. coping with chronic knee conditions.

Crimson Scientific (Cambridge, Massachusetts) –Crimson Scientific is building a next-generation electrocardiogram platform to modernize how cardiac data is captured, interpreted, and applied across clinical settings. Our core technology is a reusable, single-piece ECG pad with 30 dry electrodes that reduces acquisition time, eliminates placement errors, and seamlessly integrates with existing systems—laying the foundation for advanced, data-driven cardiac diagnostics.

KAT Innovation (Montréal, Quebec) – KAT Innovation is developing OSTAAT™, a smart wearable that uses low-intensity electrical stimulation to non-invasively increase bone density and prevent fractures in osteoporosis patients. With validated clinical results and a patent-pending platform, we aim to redefine bone health treatment by offering faster, more accessible, and reimbursable solutions that address the global osteoporosis burden.

Madison Scientific (Chicago, Illinois) – Madison Scientific, Inc. is developing smart electro-mechanical medical devices for patients with neurologic conditions. MadSci’s SmartShunt™ is a novel neurosurgical device for the treatment and monitoring of hydrocephalus (a life-threatening increase in fluid and pressure in the brain) that optimizes drainage to reduce life-threatening shunt failure and enables advanced monitoring to reduce the need for significant, expensive, and often emergent in-hospital diagnostic procedures.

Major Medical (New York, New York) – Major Medical is developing the next generation of stent graft technology to rewrite the standard of care for minimally invasive vascular surgery, starting with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and iliac aneurysm. We have devised a new treatment approach and stent graft system that reduces surgical complexity, shortens procedures, and promotes easier, faster recovery for patients.

Neuraura (Calgary, Canada) – LoOoP by Neuraura is a first-in-kind biowearable platform for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). It combines a minimally invasive neuromodulation device with a digital platform to alleviate metabolic, hormonal, and reproductive symptoms and reduce the overall burden of disease. We are adding years to life and life to years.

Nspire (Chicago, Illinois) – Nspire is revolutionizing neonatal care with our breakthrough anatomically designed nasal cannula that delivers precise oxygen therapy specifically engineered for newborn babies. Our patented technology addresses a $1.8 billion market opportunity by reducing chronic lung disease complications, accelerating NICU discharge times, and streamlining clinical workflows, delivering measurable healthcare outcomes while creating compelling value for hospitals, insurers, and most importantly, vulnerable newborns and their families.

Palmplug (Seattle, Washington) – Palmplug is building a next-generation wearable gaming platform to transform hand rehabilitation, using a lightweight glove that captures fine motor movements with high precision. Through real-time haptic feedback, electrical stimulation, and visual cues, we deliver personalized, engaging therapy for individuals with severe hand-related injuries, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and sports trauma, both at home and in clinical settings.

Each startup’s journey through mHUB’s MedTech Accelerator underscores the critical role innovation plays in advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes.

With continued investment and collaboration, these ventures are well-positioned to bring their technologies to market and shape the future of medical care for patients around the world.
